Through a number of fundamental questions the relation between public funding and commercial marked creation is scrutinized.
What paradoxes and opposites operate in the gap between public funding and the institutions of the music industry? Why is the funding aimed at the venues and not the musicians? Are the myths on how to get success in the music business perpetuating standard solutions and thereby holding the upcoming scene down?
VIA Design and the Innovation network BrandBase have invited leading players from abroad to present and debate their solutions to these matters, including Kwende Kefentse of Ottawa, Canada and Linda Portnoff of Music Sweden. Between discussions the duo Nor will contribute with a number of musical inputs.
