Ticket sales for SPOT Festival and SPOT+ 2016 is now open. SPOT+ is SPOT Festival’s distinct programme for more industry related initiatives such as seminars, conferences, networking, meetings, etc.
SPOT Festival have always had a range of industry initiatives concurrent with the extensive music programme. But this year all the activities were unified under the “umbrella” SPOT+ held in a separate area at RadissonBlu in Aarhus.
Here, more than 1500 delegates from all over the world met, and seminars and conferences focussing on both music, fashion, and film took place. Also, a wide range of well visited network meetings between Danish and international delegates were held. The whole area quickly became an important gathering point for the industry which is why it is obvious to “repeat” the success with SPOT+ in 2016.
Therefore, we are thrilled to announce several points on the agenda:
“Meet the Music Supervisors” – our sought after “speed meetings” for Danish and international industry professionals – is ready for chapter IV with music supervisors and synch agents from, among others, McCann (New York), Apple Inc. (San Francisco), Platinum Rye (London), mcgarrybowen (NY), Score A Score (Los Angeles), Cinesong (Berlin), The Greater Goods Co. (LA), Trailer Park (LA), Sentric Music (Liverpool) and Workshop Creative (LA).
“Meet the Talent” – or ”Meet the Danish Music Industry” is actually the idea behind the event. For many years, we have had direct “B-2-B“ activities between international music supervisors, synch agents, managements and publishers. In 2015 we also did a “speed meeting” for new talent and the Danish music industry. This became a great success, so we are doing it again in 2016 – and this time we also want to invite our international music industry delegates to apply for participation. So, if you are representing bands and artist who needs to be connected with Danish agents, labels and publishers, “Meet the Talent” is a great opportunity.

Additionally, the music world’s current themes will undergo treatment during seminars such as “Streaming & Transparency”, “Music & Branding” and “Synch and Placements” – the later will, among others, feature “9 Steps on How to Land a Synch Deal” with Simon Pursehouse from Sentric Music, Liverpool.
But this is only the beginning: A lot of the SPOT+ programme is currently in preparation and will be regularly updated on our facebook page, through news letters and on www.spotplus.dk
