[INT.] SPOT on musical education
The programme focuses on social entrepreneurship. In lectures and workshops possibilities in and perspectives on the musical education will be debated with an aim on new social groups, forms and formats.

Abigail D’amore will talk about the method used at Musical Futures and how bringing informal practices into formal contexts of classrooms can be challenging logistically yet highly beneficial in reaching children not otherwise engaged through traditional learning. Informal learning develops a child as not only a musician, but a creator, producer, and our research has shown has an impact on the way they approach learning elsewhere in the school.

Keynote: Abigail D´Amore/Chief Executive, Musical Futures (UK). Moderator: Lars-Ole Vestergaard/Head of Aarhus Musikskole (DK).

Presented by Videnscenter for musik, SPOT+ – in association with Regional Udvikling/Region Midt.

(Videnscenter for Musiks program continues from 13:00-16:00 with workshops in the Meeting room area – rooms 3-4-5.)
