’’Knowledge is power’’- in the first part Nis Bøgvad takes us through his workflow under the title “From Pitch to the Red Carpet”. Film composers and songwriters can gain knowledge that enhances the potential of music placement in film and TV. In the second part current topics are discussed in a panel consisting of composers, music supervisors and others.

Nis Bøgvad

Founder, Copenhagen Film Music (Copenhagen, DK)

Nis has worked in all aspects of the industry. He has previously worked as a Recording Artist and Producer, A&R director and Creative Director at Music Sales Group. He has a lot of experience with synchronizing music to commercials, TV series and films. His new venture, Copenhagen Film Music, is founded to secure the best dialog between film directors, composers and film producers.

Bobby Gumm

Vice President of Music, Trailer Park (Los Angeles, US)

Bobby Gumm is a VP at one of the largest advertising agencies in the world, where he oversees all things music. Gumm has supervised hundreds of trailers/campaigns. Some of his more recent highlights include trailers for ”Mad Max: Fury Road, Inside Out”, ”Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation”, ”Big Hero 6”, ”Interstellar”, ”Avengers: Age of Ultron” and ”Godzilla”.

Milena Fessmann

Founder, Cinesong (Berlin, DE)

Milena Fessmann is founder of the Music Company CINESONG and has worked with more than 140 movies such as Pina by Wim Wenders. Since 1991 she has worked as a full-time DJ and Presenter for various radio stations currently for Radio Eins/RBB. She is a member of the European Soundtrack Academy and teaches at the DFFB film school in Berlin.

Halfdan E

Musician, producer and Film composer (DK)

Halfdan E is a widely known and respected musician and composer. He has worked on films such as ”Bænken” and ”Arven” and TV series such as ”Borgen”. He has worked as producer with a wide variety of musicians and bands such as TV2. He also won several Danish Academy Awards for best score, and also won Fipa dor Grand Prize in 2011 for best original soundtrack in the film ”Borgen”.

Morten Green

Sound Engineer/Sound Designer (DK)

Morten has since graduating from the National Film School of Denmark in 2001 worked as a sound engineer/designer on 18 feature films, as well as multiple short films, documentaries, and TV-series. He has received the Danish Robert Award for best sound design three times. In addition to this, Morten has composed the music for two short films and delivered a series of cues to several feature films.

Niels Frid-Nielsen

Journalist and commentator, DR Kultur (DK)

Niels Frid-Nielsen is a culture commentator, senior reporter, editor and host at the national Danish Broadcasting Corporation. He has produced documentaries and international interviews for Danish TV channels. He has interviewed people such as Paul McCartney, Ken Follett and more. Niels has also worked as a culture editor on a daily paper, as a film critic for TV2 and for some years he even managed his own film program on TV3.

Caroline Schlüter Bingestam

Profile Pictures, Producer (DK)

In 2009, Caroline graduated from the National Film School of Denmark as a producer. Following this, she started working at Alphaville Pictures, where she produced the feature films Spies & Glistrup and When Animals Dream. In 2014 she became a partner and producer at Profile Pictures. She is currently finishing up the feature films I Blodet and 3 TING, both of which are premiering this year.

Kåre Bjerkø

Composer (DK)

Kåre works as a composer, writer, and producer within music, theatre, film and TV. He has composed and arranged music for several documentaries, TV series, and feature films such as ”Old, New, Borrowed and Blue”, ”Terribly Happy” and ”Skytten”. Kåre has received multiple awards for his work, amongst others a Grammy, the Danish award Sær-Bodil, and been nominated for Nordic Council Music Prize.
